About

Yochanan Ezra ben Avraham is a son of Gwendolyn Jane Hurst and Howard Martin Johnson. Yochanan (John) taught himself to pray in Hebrew utilizing the Chabad Siddur Tehillat HaShem. John converted to Judaism through Congregation Shaarie Torah of Portland, Oregon 19 Kislev 5764 (14 December 2003) under the Bet Din (Jewish Court) of Rabbis Yonah H Geller and David Rosenberg.

John studied Talmud-Torah under Rabbis Yonah H Geller and David Rosenberg of Congregation Shaarie Torah, in Portland, Oregon.

He studied Middle East, Comparative Religions, Conflict Resolution and Sociology while a student at Portland State University, while living in Israel, and as a student at Portland Community College.

Currently, John is interested in seeing a Community College being built in Nazareth, Israel. John is willing to teach at any Community College built in Nazareth, Israel and is interested in establishing a trade agreement between Israel, Jordan and the Palestinians to mass manufacture the electric automobile in historical Palestine and a renewable energy transportation infrastructure utilizing wind, water and solar power throughout the Middle East and interested in the establishment of a UN Regional Human Rights / Terrorism Claims Court in East Jerusalem and the establishment of a Regional Human Rights Claims Conference and Commission to investigate Human Rights claims in the Mid East Region.

John is interested in studying Megillat HaNechoshet (the Copper Scroll of the Dead Sea Scrolls) because he transliterated the Greek characters found on the Copper Scroll into Hebrew. The transliteration reveals “Ken, Chag, Hen, Thaah, Day, Taph, Sook.” (“Yes, Their Festival, Rooms/Booths, Enough Timbrels/Tambourines, Anointing.”)

John hopes that a peace and reconsiliation commission can be established to investigate Human Right claims in the Mid East Region and that a peace and reconsiliation summit on the Temple Mount between Jews and Muslims can be held during the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) that the Copper Scroll (Megillat HaNechoshet) be returned to the People of Israel at this peace and reconsiliation summit that we can equally access all holy sites and all holy books on the Temple Mount in the spirit of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 27 and Article 21 of the Anglo-American Treaty of 1924.
